Melissa A. Cromwell

Melissa A. Cromwell is a ceramicist whose work is an exploration of texture, surface, and forms. Her work is heavily inspired by mid-century French design. Before pursuing her solo career, Melissa worked for 9 years as one of two potters in Jonathan Adler’s NYC ceramics studio. There, she created prototypes for sculptures, mirrors, lighting, and home decor cast in ceramics, brass, or lucite in workshops around the world.

In 2017 Melissa moved from Brooklyn to her native Maryland to open her own studio. Today her work is sold domestically and internationally, a favorite of interior designers.
