Glazed Ceramics
Maintenance:
-Clean gently using a soft, dry cloth, or a slightly damp cloth if necessary.
-Do not use abrasive materials, chemical cleaners, or detergents, as they may damage the glaze.
Precautions:
-These are decorative sculptural pieces and should be handled with care.
-Avoid placing them in areas where they might be knocked over or exposed to sudden impacts.
Important Environmental Information:
-Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, which may affect the glaze over time.
-Extreme temperature changes or high humidity levels should also be avoided to preserve the structural integrity of the ceramic.
Restoration:
-In the event of damage, restoration should always be carried out by a professional conservator experienced with glazed ceramics.
Metals:
Most metals on SVDA pieces are delivered with a live finish unless specified differently. The live finishes are designed to naturally patina over time.
Maintenance (live and lacquered finishes):
-Clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
-Do not use commercial or heavy-duty polishes or waxes as they may scratch or damage the finish.
Restoration:
-To restore a polished finish on an item with a live or non-live finish, we recommend that they be professionally cleaned and polished.
