•Regular Maintenance:
-Vacuuming: Vacuum regularly with a soft brush attachment to remove dust and debris.
-Brushing: Use a soft brush or a garment brush to gently brush the velvet in the direction of the pile to lift and restore its texture.
-Protect from Sunlight: Keep velvet pieces out of direct sunlight to prevent fading.
-Fluff and Flip Cushions: If the velvet has cushions, fluff and flip them regularly to distribute wear and tear.
-Avoid Rubbing: When cleaning, avoid rubbing as it can push dirt deeper into the fibers and damage the pile.
-Air Dry: Allow velvet pieces to air dry naturally, avoiding direct heat or sunlight.
-Blot Spills Immediately: When spills occur, blot immediately with a clean cloth or paper towel to absorb moisture.
-Remove Solids: If there are solids in the spill, gently scrape them off with a spoon or dull knife.
-Spot Clean with a Mild Solution: Mix a few drops of dish soap with water, dip a clean cloth in the solution, and gently blot the stain.
-Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use harsh chemicals or bleach on velvet.

•Additional Tips:
-Test Cleaning Solutions: Before applying any cleaning solution, test it on an inconspicuous area first.
-Use Steam: Steam can be used to remove mild wrinkles and creases but never iron velvet.

•Professional Care:
-For deep cleaning, consider professional upholstery cleaning every year or two, especially if you have pets or children
